73rd Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgeons (IACTS)
The Indian Association of Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgeons (IACTS) proudly presents the 3rd Annual Conference of IACTS, scheduled to be held from 18th – 21st February 2027 at the prestigious Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata.
Organized under the aegis of IACTS, this landmark scientific gathering will bring together leading cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons, medical professionals, researchers, and healthcare experts from across India and beyond.
The conference will feature insightful scientific sessions, expert-led discussions, keynote lectures, workshops, and opportunities for knowledge exchange, focusing on the latest advancements, innovations, and future directions in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.

The much sought after annual academic extravaganza of the IACTS is the IACTSCON!
This was called CT CON in the earlier days and the name metamorphosed in 2012 to IACTSCON. This is usually conducted in the last week of February and lasts three and a half days. Day 1, usually a Thursday features CMEs. The Friday features important annual events of the association including the Dr C S Sadasivan Memorial Oration, the Presidential address and the Annual General Body Meeting. The other orations are featured on any of the first three days according to the planning of the organizing team under the guidance of the senior vice president and the executive committee.
Teams wishing to conduct this need to carefully go through the SOPs found on this page and discuss with the Secretary and Treasurer of the IACTS. They need to apply through the process which usually is open from August or September till the 15 th of December. An Organising Chairman, Organising Secretary and Treasurer need to join in the attempt at securing the chance to conduct. A three year preparatory time is planned making the applications actually for the IACTSCON to take place three years from the time of applying.
A theme is usually chosen and adhered to. Lectures are usually built around this. Constitutional mandates are adhered to under the guidance of the Secretary.
